Blue Ridge Soccer Academy at Sweet Briar College:  check-in Sunday, June 27, 2010; check-out Thursday, July 1, 2010.

Registration is currently closed as we finalize our rates with Sweet Briar College. 

Blue Ridge Soccer Academy has been one of Virginia's premier soccer camps, for more than 18 years. Our Camp is for Children ages 8* - 18. Our staff provides excellent training and a fun atmosphere for boys and girls of all age groups and abilitiy levels.

                        * Children under 8 years of age are allowed and accepted on a case-by-case basis. For children

                             younger than 8 please contact the camp director.

Overnight Champions Camp: Sunday, June 27 through Thursday afternoon July 1, 2010    
Campers check in Sunday afternoon, June 27 and participate in all field sessions through Thursday afternoon July 1. Meal plan starts with dinner on Sunday and ends with lunch on Thursday.

Sweet Briar residence halls are air-conditioned. Blankets, bed linens and pillows are provided. Boarders should bring soap and towels. All dorms ore supervised by camp counselors at all times. Boarders will be issued a room key (a refundable key deposit will be collected at check-in).

Because the security and safely of campers is of vital importance to all of us as parents, overnight campers must be in their rooms by 11 :O0 pm The Sweet Briar Police Department monitors the residence halls and campus grounds throughout the night and day. A certified athletic trainer will be present at all field sessions and remains on site 24 hours a day. Emergencies will be transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.

The Overnight Champions Camp concludes by 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 1 after dorm check-out.

Extended Day Camp: Sunday, June 27 through Thursday afternoon July 1, 2010                
Players check in Sunday afternoon and participate in the Sunday evening evaluation session and return each day at 8:00 am for the morning, afternoon, and evening sessions through Thursday afternoon. Meal plan begins with dinner on Sunday evening and ends with lunch on Thursday.  Campers are excused at the conclusion of the evening session each day at approximately 9:00 pm. The Extended Day Camp includes all aspects of the Academy with the exception of the overnight accomodations.  Players should be old enough to be able to participate in six hours of soccer each day.  The Extended Day Camp concludes at 3:00 pm on Thursday, July 1.

Day Camp: Sunday, June 27 through Thursday afternoon July 1, 2010                              
As described above, players check in Sunday afternoon and participate in the Sunday evening evaluation session and return each day through Thursday at 8:00 am for the morning and afternoon sessions. Meal plan includes dinner on Sunday only, and all breakfasts & lunches Monday through Thursday. Players should be picked up immediately following the afternoon session between 4:00-4:30pm.  The Day Camp concludes at 3:00pm on Thursday July 1.

SWEET BRIAR COLLEGE is tucked in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 3,300 beautiful acres, located 12 miles north of Lynchburg, VA and 45 miles south of Charlottesville, VA on Route 29. Cavaliers Day Camp:  Monday, August 2010                                              
Held at the Forest Youth Athletic Assocation Recreation Park on Route 811 in Forest, Virginia from Monday through Friday. The camp is open to boys and girls entering Kindergarten through eighth grades, regardless of previous experience or ability.  New this year!  The camp will be held in the evening (6:00pm to 8:30pm) to take advantage of cooler temperatures and easier transportation for parents.

The Cavalier Day Camp is designed to help young players develop a love of the game while learning the basic technical skills of soccer in a community setting. We employ the MicroSoccer system, using age-appropriate field size and smaller goals, with fewer players on each team to ensure that players get thousands of touches on the ball throughout the week. Our efforts will focus on trapping, passing, dribbling, and shooting. There will also be a session to teach the fundamentals of goalkeeping. The primary goal, however, is to provide a fun atmosphere where kids of all abilities can shine. The day camp is stuffed with local high school and college coaches and players. The Cavalier Day Camp starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 8:30 PM each day, Monday through Friday* (*camp ends at 8:00pm on Friday). Players should bring their own soccer ball, clearly marked with the player's name in permanent ink for use during camp. Players may purchase a discounted camp ball on the first day of the camp or at Blue Ridge Soccer & Sports.  Water will be provided each day.
